The Christie Bowl was donated in 1971 by Sir William Christie KCIE, CSI, MC. (Club member from 1933 to 1983). Sir William Christie was made a Knight Commander of the Order of the Indian Empire (KCIE) in the 1948 New Year’s Honours List for services to the Indian Civil Service as Chief Commissioner for Delhi.

It is now played for as a combined trophy over the season and is presented at the Annual Dinner. The winner is a player with a handicap in Division 1 (Handicap Index of 15.9 or below), who has the best 3 rounds from 5 from the Spring, Summer and Autumn Meetings, and from day 2 and day 3 of the Summer Tour, other than the winners of the Bill Wood Jug and Allinson-Parkhill Trophy.
