The Ross Gibbons Putter is a sliver putter or walking stick mounted on a wooden base and was donated in 2016 by Ross Gibbons (Captain 1997, President from 2012 to 2024, and Club member from 1986 to 2024).
It is played for on the final day of the Summer Tour. This is a singles stableford where the player with the best score wins the Sheep’s Heid Trophy and the Captain’s Prize. The player aged 65 or over with the best score, other than the winner of the Sheep’s Heid, wins the Rennie Anderson Tankard. The player aged 75 or over with the best score, other than the winners of the Sheep’s Heid and the Rennie Anderson Tankard, wins the Ross Gibbons Putter.
